Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of Humanoid Robots
The research department of CICC stated that the development of humanoid robots can be divided into three stages: 1. From 1928 to 1973, the initial exploration stage was led by Europe, America, and Japan. The research mainly focused on the structure and driving force of humanoids, and robots did not have perception and decision-making functions; 2. From 1973 to 2013, there were significant breakthroughs in the system perception stage in terms of "visual" and "tactile" aspects; 3. Since 2013, humanoid robots have gained stronger autonomous learning and decision-making abilities during the decision-making stage.
The long-term space of this market is full of imagination. According to a study by Strategies Market Research Consulting, the global humanoid robot market reached $1.51 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach $26.43 billion by 2028, with an annualized compound growth rate of 50.5%. The composite growth rate in the Asia Pacific region will reach the highest in the world, and regions such as Japan and China will become key regions for humanoid robot manufacturing.
